CHROMOKA UNLEASHED: Chrome’s Decade-Defining Street Bash

By The 254 Report Exclusive | Juja City Mall
Chrome, the brand made by the streets for the streets, marks a milestone with the launch of CHROMOKA - Kwachu Maprizegalang at Juja City Mall. The event brought together urban culture in a celebration of spirit, ambition, and ten years of street influence in Kenya.
Spirit of the Streets, Spirit of the People
Ziporah Ndung'u, Senior Brand Manager for Chrome, emphasized the campaign’s authentic connection to Kenyan optimism and drive.
"Honestly, it is a celebration of the spirits of Kenyans. We are very optimistic people and always driven. Kuomoka is something everybody desires and aspires to. When we considered how to celebrate and represent Chrome at ten years, we said we put Chrome and Omoka together to make Kuomoka. That is how we came up with the campaign."
Ziporah Ndung'u, Senior Brand Manager, Chrome
CHROMOKA represents more than music, art, or prizes. The campaign captures the DNA that makes Chrome bold, genuine, and distinctive.
True to Gen Z and Millennial Culture
Chrome connects with youth through community, collaboration, and listening to authentic voices.
"We work a lot with our partners, our influencers, our artist partners, and we are always listening to what the consumers are saying. There is nobody with as much authentic experience as the person who creates music. We are more than a brand selling alcohol. We stand for the things they value, and we celebrate what they value."
Event artists and hosts include:
Harry Craze
DJ Demakufu
DJ Lyta
Azeezah
Each artist played a vital role in delivering a vibrant, authentic experience.
More Than Numbers
Success for Chrome is measured by its lasting cultural impact, not just statistics.
"We listen for feedback and pay attention to consumer engagement. Our goal is to build new excitement that continues to drive us. Our success comes from participating in cultural passion points like music, fashion, street art, and food. It is not just about numbers, but about making sure consumers everywhere can relate and feel ownership in Chrome."
Empowerment and Rewards
CHROMOKA’s prizes empower creativity across music, art, fashion, content creation, and street culture.
"When you purchase our products, prizes are connected to each pillar. Ngomanipiam for music, Adnivaibu for artists, Dripnipiam for fashionistas, Gunjua for content creators, and Nzingwa Street for everyone. We give people a chance to grow by winning speakers, branded merchandise, phones, laptops, digital art cards, and even a million shillings.
